Trading Tavern takes its name — and its whole philosophy — from a real place: Town Tavern, an Ohio sports bar and restaurant run by a friend and now a fellow investor in this software. Anyone who's spent a night there knows the house rules: pour generously, keep it honest, and if someone's had enough, you tell them — you don't just keep filling the glass because it's good for the tab.

That's a harder standard than most trading apps hold themselves to. A lot of them are built to keep you tapping — confetti on wins, silence on losses, "smart" auto-trading that quietly removes your say in the matter. It's the finance-app version of an overserving bartender who never says when to stop.

So we built the opposite

Trading Tavern applies Town Tavern's actual house rules to trading software:

• Pour honestly — every trade idea comes carded with a real, calibrated probability. Not a hype score. Not a "buy signal." A number we're willing to be graded on, publicly, on the Truth Meter.
• Cut people off before it gets ugly — that's the 2% cap on our riskiest bucket, and it's why every single trade needs your explicit approval before it fires. No auto-pilot, no "we'll handle it for you."
• Never oversell what you can't back up — we don't promise returns, because no honest bartender promises you'll feel great tomorrow. We promise the pour is measured and the tab is transparent. Read our risk disclosure and what this actually is (and isn't).

Town Tavern still pours drinks in Ohio. Trading Tavern pours odds online. Different room, same bartender's instinct: know your regulars, know when to say when, and never let the good times talk you out of the math.
