Yes — but only if "honest" is backed by something concrete, not just a tagline. For Trading Tavern, that means publicly tracking our own accuracy, never promising returns, capping our riskiest strategy bucket by rule, and never placing a trade without your explicit approval. Here's what each of those actually means in practice.
Public calibration tracking
Most trading platforms show you their wins. Almost none show you a running scorecard of whether their confidence levels actually hold up. Trading Tavern's Truth Meter publishes our calibration curve and Brier score — the honest, ongoing answer to "when this platform says 70%, does it actually happen 70% of the time?" It updates as outcomes come in, including the ones that didn't work out.
No promised returns — ever
We will never tell you what you'll make. Not "average 15% a month," not "our top traders earn," none of it. Probability estimates describe the likelihood of a setup hitting its target — they are not, and are never presented as, a forecast of your account's returns. A hard cap on the riskiest bucket
Speculative micro-cap trading (our "Penny Casino" menu bucket) is capped at 2% of your account by platform rule — not a suggestion, a hard limit enforced on the highest-risk category specifically because it's the easiest place for a small edge to turn into an outsized loss. Honest doesn't mean risk-free; it means being upfront about which strategies carry more risk and building in a guardrail rather than pretending the risk isn't there.
No auto-trading, no autopilot
